The Golden Years
January 2 nd was my parents 52 nd Anniversary and I want to wish them a Happy Anniversary!!! For more than 10 years now, I’ve enjoyed making them an upscale Anniversary dinner and it was something that my sister and I started together. I’m not a gourmet chef but I cook with love. This year Dad wanted it simple because he likes for me to not run around the kitchen busting my derriere so much lol. So, I kept it simple yet with classy ingredients…pictures below 😊 Can you imagine being married to someone for 52 years?? Mom said she could write a book on marriage and I believe her! I don’t think marriage is always a walk in the park but making a lifelong commitment helps to keep it growing. The most important things I’ve learned from their marriage are keeping God at the center of it all, respect, love and sacrifice for each other, communicating, spending time together, and at times giving each other some space.
